The signs of the final hour can be divided into two groups:

1) Minor signs
Minor signs are events of normal nature prophesised by our Prophet Muhammed Peace and blessings be upon him to take place before Qiyamah like the consumption of alcohol, disrespect of parents, dancing, prevalence of ignorance and immorality and signs of this nature. The majority of the minor signs have appeared while some are occurring and some will appear with major signs.

2) Major signs
Major signs are events of extraordinary nature prophesied by our Prophet Peace and blessings be upon himto take place before Qiyamah. Once these signs appear, the end of the world is known to come very soon thereafter. Some of these have been provided in flashcard form below.

Yaajooj and Maajooj (Gog and Magog)

The Beast

The Fire

Imam Mahdi alayhissalaam

 Return of Isa (Jesus) alayhissalaam

 The Smoke

Sun Rising from West

Landslides

Dajjaal (The Anti-Christ)

Important:

All of these signs are not in the order of occurance. They are in random order.

These signs are not general. They refer to specific major events. For example, the major sign about landslides refers to 3 major landslides that will happen before Qiyaamah.

The signs can be studied in detail in authentic books.

These cards can be held up or passed around the class. Students can guess which letters of the alphabet are in congruence with each flashcard. The wording and picture can be stuck back to back, if desired.

To view an overview of all Sifaat view this post and this post insha-Allah.

Note: Not all the Sifaat Ghayr Mutadhaddah [without opposites] have been included. There are 7 or 9 [according to difference of opinion on what should be included], and 2 have been left out. These two are 'Inhiraaf' and 'Takreer'.

This is according to the Hanafi madh-hab.
This is beneficial for younger students as it can help them absorb the information by counting the stars. It is also enjoyable because of the different colours.

What type of relationship is it?

In Islam, if a woman feeds a child milk from herself, even if it be a few drops, she is now counted as the mother of that child. Obviously, the biological mother has the greatest rank but this ‘foster/milk’ mother is too a mother and receives the rank and respect of a mother.

Also, legally the rules of relationship apply that apply with biological mothers. This woman and her husband are now like the child’s parents, so Hijaab from them will not apply. Their children are counted as the child’s siblings. Therefore, the child cannot marry any of them when he/she grows up. Also, if two unrelated children are fed milk by an unrelated woman, they too become ‘foster/milk’ siblings. The rules are extensive.

Who were the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم’s relatives?

The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم did not have any biological siblings but many ‘foster/milk’ siblings.

Anisah, Sheema and Abdullah were the children of Haleema; his foster mother.

Masrooh was the son of Thuwaybah; a woman who fed him in the beginning few weeks, after his mother and before Haleema.

Besides that, Thuwaybah also fed Abu Salamah and Abu Sufyan [son of Haarith], who were the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم’s cousins. She also fed Hamza who was the Prophet’s uncle. All four were close in age.

Haleemah also fed Hamza; the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم’s uncle for a short time. Besides that, Allah Ta’ala knows best.

Did you know?

Isn’t it amazing how all or most of the Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم ’s foster mothers and siblings became Muslim, SubhaanAllah?

The one in pink is highlighted because she is his biological mother. The purple names on the 2nd chart are linked to Haleema from the 1st chart. Not all of them are her biological children. The blue names on the 2nd chart are linked to Thuwaybah on the 1st chart. Only Masrooh is her biological child. May Allah be pleased with all of them. Aameen.

Important notes:

Girls' names are in maroon and boys' names are in blue.

The stars for the grandchildren are the same colour are the star for their parent.
For example, Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم 's grandchildren Sayidatina Umamah and Sayidina 'Ali are in green stars. Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم 's daughter Sayyidatina Zaynab is also in a green star, which shows that she is their mother. May Allah be pleased with all of Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم 's family.

Nabi صلي الله عليه و سلم 's adopted son Sayidina Zayd is also added. His son Sayidina Usamah is listed in the adopted grandchildren. Their is also a daughter of Sayidina Zayd, whose name I could not find, so I have left a maroon question mark. Sayidina Zayd may have had more children. Allah knows best.

Sayyidina Umar [May Allah be please with him] has said that the children of Shaitan are many, from which nine are prominent. Each of their occupations and methods of leading people astray are different.
