Weather cards are a good idea. It is much better than labelling students as 'naughty' or 'badly behaved' as this effects their mindset and is damaging.

Also, students are motivated by the weather metaphor. One day, the weather can be foggy but the next day it can be sunny. In the same way, it is never too late for students to improve behaviour.

Sayyidina Umar [May Allah be please with him] has said that the children of Shaitan are many, from which nine are prominent. Each of their occupations and methods of leading people astray are different.

One of the wisdoms of saying Allahu Akbar when going upwards is that one is always reminded that no matter how high he reaches, Allah is the Greatest and Highest. When going downwards, one says SubhaanAllah to remember that Allah is free from all faults and He can never be lowered.

It is very important to start our studies with the blessings of Allah; for He is the All-Knowing and from Him comes all knowledge.

Nowadays, youngsters are often disregarded and patronised.

However, in the time of the Messenger of Allah, upon whom be blessings, they were honoured and taught excellently as they were the future generation of Islam.

Sayidina Usama bin Zaid at the age of 19-20 was made commander of a major army by the Messenger of Allah. Giants like Sayidina Khalid bin Waleed were under his command. When the Messenger of Allah passed away Sayidina Abubakr insisted on sending the army with Usama and only Usama as the leader. He was successful.
