This is an activity which is very very helpful in helping students recognise letters in their varied forms. It is available here inshaAllah. It should look something like this:
The pieces are best printed on card and laminated for endurance.
Not all the letters should be given to sort out at once because students will become overwhelmed by sheer numbers; there's 4 for each letter.
Letters that can be confused with one another should be given at the same time so that students get good practice telling them apart.
Students should be taught the rules; such as when a letter comes at the end of a word it is intact in its original form but when at the beg or middle it is halved as the above picture shows.
