Nowadays, youngsters are often disregarded and patronised.
However, in the time of the Messenger of Allah, upon whom be blessings, they were honoured and taught excellently as they were the future generation of Islam.
Sayidina Usama bin Zaid at the age of 19-20 was made commander of a major army by the Messenger of Allah. Giants like Sayidina Khalid bin Waleed were under his command. When the Messenger of Allah passed away Sayidina Abubakr insisted on sending the army with Usama and only Usama as the leader.
