Education through Simplification

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

The Latin word rudis means untaught and untrained. It is the source of the English word rude. We learn that the former leads to the latter. Without knowledge one fails to achieve the goal of life; to have lived in a harmonious way with Allah’s creation, acting upon what He Almighty ordained. Therefore, educating our youing is a Muslim duty because they are the future generation of Islam.

Imam Gazali رحمه الله said, 'the child is a trust [of Allah] in the hands of his parents and his innocent heart is a precious element capable of taking impressions'.

Many of us can name the wives of Henry viii but fail to name the wives of our Messenger [blessings upon him]. We must make it our priority to study our Islamic tradition and in turn educate others with ease, yearning and love. The onus is on us.

ان شاء الله, there will be posters, quotes, activities, timelines, maps, Arabic and Tajweed worksheets and many things in between. There is no power and might except with Allah. May He accept this effort. Aameen.

Salaam Alaikoum.

Sorry i forgot to add, the word "rudis" can have similarities with the word "rad'ee" in Arabic because there are many latin and greek words of aramaic/Arabic/middle eastern origins.
Even, many greek and latin words modified during the middle ages to fit the arabic meaning and translations.

Salaam alaikoum
