Sadly, when many Muslims are asked who the 4 Rightly Guided Caliphs were, they have no answer. Sayidina Irbad ibn Sariya narrates from our Messenger s :
'You must then follow my sunnah and that of the rightly-guided caliphs. Hold to it and stick fast to it. Avoid new matters [in the religion], for every new matter [in the religion] is an innovation and every innovation is an error'. [Abu Dawud]
If we do not know who they are, then how are we going to follow them? What a shame and loss to Imaan. This love should be inculcated from an early age.
